Overview

About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command located at Redstone Arsenal, AL or New Cumberland, PA. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. Security Assistance.

Major Duties

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Foreign Military Sales programs for all assigned countries.,Manage development of Basic Cases, Amendments, and Modifications; coordinating partner nation acceptance of Letter of Offer and Acceptances; and overseeing the successful execution of assigned cases from implementation through final closure.,Leverage key relationships with foreign government representatives and the Security Assistance Enterprise to proactively identify and drive timely resolution of all emergent issues.,Provide expert counsel to Security Assistance Enterprise colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding and correct application of policies and procedures.,Directly supports executive decision-making by authoring a full range of leadership materials—including decision papers, trip books, and official correspondence.,Present formal briefings on FMS case management actions to leaders and foreign dignitaries.,Drive effective burden sharing by engaging directly with foreign partners through required official travel, using program updates and collaborative discussion to align strategic objectives.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Overseeing logistics and supply program management support to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers to meet requirements and deadlines; 2) Applying regulations pertaining to foreign military sales (FMS) case management; 3) ) Reviewing Letters of Request for completeness in support of country requirements; AND 4) Preparing briefings for higher level and foreign officials on the development and execution of assigned programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
