SAIC is seeking a results-driven, experienced Vice President to lead the Aviation & Mission Systems Account within the Army-Navy Business Group, based in Huntsville, Alabama.
This leader will be responsible for the vision, strategy, growth, execution, and talent management of the account. They will exercise sound judgment within broadly defined corporate guidelines and policies and drive efforts to realize annual business plan financials and drive growth aligned with broader organization strategic plans. The successful individual will initiate and participate in business strategy development, guide business development and capture activities, maintain financial controls for the organization, and create an environment conducive to long term sustainable growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Cultivating and managing effective relationships with senior clients and potential future clients.
- Providing positive, effectual leadership and management oversight of subordinate Program Directors and direct reporting Program Managers.
- Identifying strategic business thrusts for the account; planning, executing, and supervising business development strategies and actions to enable those thrusts.
- Developing business and financial plans and leading the account to achieve the objectives of those plans.
- Meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives to drive top-line and bottom-line growth.
- Maintaining financial controls and ensuring the integrity of financial matters.
- Supporting and at times, guiding or leading subordinate Directors and Program Managers in efforts where the scope and complexity necessitate.
- Creating and maintaining a collaborative environment conducive to the professional growth and development of staff and the free flow of information throughout the entire organization.
- Direct tactical and strategic planning and coordinate integration of multiple supporting projects into a comprehensive program.
- Review, validate, and direct program performance requirements to the program baseline.
- Identify and analyze serious variances, direct corrective actions, and develop or validate avoidance measures to preclude recurrence across the enterprise.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree and 18+ years of relevant experience with executive leadership role.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven success leading, managing and providing oversight of a portfolio of executing programs and growth initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build highly effective teams and motivate employees at all levels.
- Domain knowledge of aviation and missile weapon systems.
- Significant experience with the Defense Acquisition System.
- Working knowledge of systems engineering practices, modeling and simulation applications in acquisition. lifecycles, and modern software development practices.
- Demonstrated success developing a major acquisition from qualification to proposal submission.
- Well-established relevant customer relationships and demonstrated ability to develop new prospects across a market sector.
- Strong working knowledge of DoD and Army-specific contracting practices, program execution, and customer engagement.
- Proficiency in navigating cross-functional domains such as finance, contracts, human resources, and project management to ensure business optimization.
- Demonstrated success as a Program Manager in government or industry.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.
