Leidos’ Defense Mechanical Design & Analysis Department is seeking a Mobile Radar Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Huntsville Alabama designing the next generation of sensors to protect America and its allies. You will perform mechanical design of the Affordable Long-range Persistent Surveillance-Mobile product. You will use Solidworks CAD software and Windchill PLM software daily to turn ideas into designs. Then you’ll work alongside the production team to turn your designs into hardware. You might be asked to help integrate and install the hardware, and then you’ll work with the testing team to put your hardware into action. This is not your average engineering position. You will work on a team of the most talented engineers in the region who push you to be better every day. THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Structural design viaSolidworksCADsoftware, drawing generationin accordance withASME Y14.100 & Y14.5, and producing technical data packagesin accordance withMIL-STD-31000

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical EngineeringorAerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • 8+ years of applicable experience or 6\+ years with MS degree.
  • Strong SolidWorks user
  • Active secret security clearance or ability to obtain andmaintainsecret securityclearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Windchill PLMexperience
  • Design and/or Integration experience in the following areas:

Power generation

  • Tactical shelterdesign
  • Telecommunication towers
  • Mobile tactical equipment
  • Tactical trailers

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
