Leidos’Open Air SensorsDivisionis seeking aGround Based Digital RadarProgramManager to join our teamin Huntsville, AL.CanTheGBDRprogram is a large and complex radar system that requires adiverse engineering and manufacturing skillsetto properly execute.The PM willbe responsible formeeting the mission commitments to the customer and the financial commitments to the Division.Key responsibilities includeleading the program team, management of the integrated master schedule,identifyingand mitigatingriskand opportunities,ensuringtimelycompletion of program deliverables,and deliveringexcellent program performance overall.The selected candidate will serve astheprimaryprogrammaticcustomer interface forthe programscopeand willsupport theOpen AirDivisionmanager inbriefingtheDefense Sensorsbusiness area leadership on program performance. The position requiresstrong communicationskills, ability to lead cross-functional teams, anddemonstratedexperience exhibiting good judgement. Some travel for meetings and test eventswillberequired.

Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Program Manager will:
- Serve as a customer / client advocate with client management of expectations and results.
- Provide technical oversight of our advance technology development programs.
- Lead project teams throughout the product delivery life cycle of the program, both hardware and software development, to support the client with critical missions.
- Provide strategic thought leadershipregardingtechnical management, software / hardware delivery, system solutioning, and client management for multiple development projects.
- Assistsenior leaders to define strategies and success for all aspects of contract management, financial performance, and budget control of existing programs.
- Provide oversight and review and debriefing executive leadership with financial estimates and ROMs for new development efforts.
- Maintain responsibility for the leadership and development of Department members of program execution professionals.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent experience and 15+ years of experience in the defense/aerospace industry or 13+ years with MS degree
- 5+ yearsofexperience managing technical programs that involve development and production in the defense industry or similar rigor
- Must be a proven leader with good organizational skills, attention to detail and work well as a leading member of a team
- Experience measuring scope, schedule, and cost performance. Strong understanding of program planning and implementation of Earned Value techniques and tools
- Experience successfully leading cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment to meet quality,scheduleand cost commitments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer interaction and presentation skills
- Must be a US citizen possess and maintain an active Secret clarence. Must be able to obtain a Top-secret clearance.
- Must reside in the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference shown to candidates whopossessa Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:
- AS9100 quality systems and compliance
- Active DoD Top-Secret clearance.
- Navigating DoD acquisition processes and methods
- Risk identification, analysis, and management techniques
- Understanding of systems engineering principles, design and manufacturing processes, and quality systems
- Subcontract managementincludingcreating SOW, and managing technical, schedule and budget for both large and small subcontractors.
- Proposal managementincludingidentifying key partners, developing statements of work for subcontracts,planningand writing proposalresponse.
